John Blumenschein, Sr Counsel at Guidance Software, will deliver an informative and practical presentation, Developing and Negotiating Effective Search Terms, that no attorney, lit support specialist, or paralegal will want to miss.
The meeting will be held at the offices of Seyfarth Shaw, 131 S. The presentation will give practitioners a better understanding of how to implement efficient, defensible and repeatable keyword searches. Discussion topics will include:
-framing the debate between keyword and conceptual searching
-understanding and leveraging the Sedona Conference principles on ESI searches
-identifying courts' increasing expectations of attorneys through caselaw and anecdotal experiences
-practical tips on effective keyword construction and search processes
-effective strategies for negotiating reasonable terms and processes with opposing parties
