Chapter Support Center (CSC)

The mission of the CSC is to provide support to the local chapters by providing centralized resources, creating a synergy between chapters, and maximizing organizational velocity through the aggressive use of technology.  This support will focus on those areas to which a centralized management is the most cost effective and across broad areas which are likely to affect multiple chapters.

Duties

These include the following:

  1. A unified national membership database
  2. Creation and distribution of membership cards
  3. Creation and maintenance of the website
  4. Creation of organizational marketing literature
  5. Organizational record keeping
  6. Preparation and submission of information required by the Internal Revenue Service

Shauna Waters

National Director of Membership

Shauna Waters is a tenured professional with over 20 years experience in verticals and channel sales in the software and training industries.  Her success has garnered her numerous awards and promotions.  Shauna’s attention to detail and her ability to listen and focus on the needs of the customer are the primary drivers of her success.  As the membership director for ASDFED, she is responsible for getting the word out and bringing interested people to the table to contribute to this great effort.  Shauna is currently a Regional Sales Manager for Forensic Computers.  Prior to her move there, she worked with various companies representing their software and training products.  Her forensic experience came from 6 years at AccessData.  Shauna served in various sales roles during her time there and was recognized for her accomplishments by being awarded the annual Million Dollar sales award five different times for exceeding her goals.  Shauna’s focus through much of her career has been on Federal, State and Local government sales for training as well as software.  She found her passion during her time with AccessData working the Digital Forensic market.  She developed a deep understanding of the space and of her customer’s needs and what they go through to be the best at their jobs.  
 
Shauna is community minded. Early in her career she served on several committees with the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce including the Community Involvement Committee and the Business Women’s Forum. She is confident that the ASDFED will be an asset to all who participate through their contributions.

Erika Santiago

National Director of Education & Training

Erika Santiago, an independent training consultant was most recently the National Trainingerika_santiago_picture & Development Manager for LitWorksTM – A DTI Company in Atlanta, Georgia. Erika has assisted case teams in the development of discovery management strategies and law firms and corporate legal departments with the design and implementation of their litigation support departments since 1995. Her experience includes litigation support management, project management, consulting, training and sales roles at Holland & Knight, LLP, King & Spalding LLP, Miami-Dade Community College, Georgia Perimeter College and iCONECT Development, LLC before joining LitWorksTM – A DTI Company five years ago.

Erika has delivered practical and valuable workshops to various organizations including paralegal associations, state bar associations, Legal Tech, ILTA, the Atlanta Association of Litigation Support Managers (she is also a past president of AALSM) and most recently, the Association of Litigation Support Professionals (ALSP). Today, Erika is primarily focused on teaching litigation support (EDD) project management best practices backed by years of experience and knowledge of understanding project needs, setting & managing expectations, and utilizing available resources. Her approach is strictly vendor, service provider, software, and technology neutral – “The tools are not as important as the process.” She tries to encourage and mentor others in our industry to continuously seek more knowledge in best practices towards a defensible process.

Erika is certified to train and administer a number of litigation support applications including Concordance and Live Note and has end-user product expertise in a wide range of litigation/ e- discovery applications.

Erika is a member of the Project Management Institute. Erika is a graduate of Florida International University, Miami, FL.
