Our Members:

Fellow

A Fellow, a membership grade of distinction in the ASDFED, is elected by the Board of Directors based upon a candidate having been responsible for significant achievements in the areas of digital forensics and/or e-discovery, as well as contributions to the organization. Normally, a candidate should have ten years of active practice in the field and should have been a contributing member of the ASDFED for at least five years. Examples of contributions that may warrant Fellow consideration:

  • Starting a Regional Chapter of the ASDFED
  • Serving on the Board of Directors
  • Contributing White Papers or Articles for Publication on the ASDFED website
  • Contributing educational content for distribution through ASDFED.

The five years of membership requirement may be waived for a Fellow candidate who has more than ten years of professional practice and who has demonstrated significant achievements in one of the following areas:

  • Curriculum Development
  • Teaching
  • Litigation Support
  • Expert Witness Experience

A nomination for promotion to Fellow must be initiated by a Member of ASDFED and supported by at least three additional sponsors. The candidate and two of the three sponsors must be Members of ASDFED at the time of nomination.  At least one, but no more than 2% of the total membership can be elected to Fellow Grade in any one year.
